These Terms of Use apply to Ping Canary on Android and iOS. By using the app, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The app

Ping Canary is a local-first host monitoring tool provided by SudoCod on an “as available” basis. It lets you probe hosts you configure with ICMP, TCP, or HTTP/HTTPS from your device. The app does not require a SudoCod account.

Subscriptions (Ping Canary Pro)

Access to the full app is provided through Ping Canary Pro, a paid auto-renewing yearly subscription via the platform store, with a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Price is shown in the store and may vary by country or storefront (marketed about $1/year where offered).

  • On Android, billing uses Google Play Billing (product ping_canary_pro, base plan domain-canary-pro-base, trial offer domain-canary-pro-14d-trial).
  • On iOS, billing uses Apple In-App Purchase / StoreKit (product ID domain_canary_pro, Subscription Group ID 22296810, Subscription Apple ID 6799585816) under Apple's terms, including the Apple Standard EULA where applicable.
  • Payment and trial eligibility are handled by Google or Apple, not by SudoCod directly.
  • Subscriptions renew yearly unless you cancel in Google Play or App Store subscription settings before the renewal date.
  • Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
  • Purchases on Google Play and the App Store are separate unless SudoCod later offers an explicit cross-platform arrangement.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the hosts you probe and for complying with applicable laws and network policies.
  • Only monitor systems you are authorized to check. Do not use the app to probe networks without permission.
  • Keep your device secure. Anyone with unlocked access may be able to view endpoints and history you store in the app.

No warranty

The app is provided as-is. SudoCod does not warrant that checks will detect every outage. ICMP may be blocked on some networks; HTTP success is defined as HTTP 200 for HTTP / HTTPS checks. SudoCod is not liable for missed alerts, network or DNS outages, store billing disputes, or damages arising from reliance on the app, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Store terms

Your use of store billing is also governed by the applicable Google Play or Apple App Store terms for your account.

Changes

We may update these terms when the app or subscription model changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
